DESCRIPTION
Fabien JOUVES comes from an old farming family from the Causse. He became a winemaker in 2006, creating Mas del Périé on the highest slopes of Cahors. Malbec (Cot) is the king of grape varieties. Given the estate's location at the junction of the Quercy hillsides and those of Cahors, plot selection was an obvious choice to express the different facets of Malbec. This expression of the terroir is reinforced by biodynamic agriculture that respects life, plants, humans, and their environment.
A rare single varietal bottling of the esoteric Jurançon Noir from a tiny half hectare parcel of 50 year old vines. A very supple vintage with the added soul of the old Cahors grape varieties. A marked cherry nose. On the palate, a delicate structure and lovely freshness with silky, luscious red fruits.
