DESCRIPTION
Since 2022, the VDP has classified the heart of the Ayler Scheidterberg as a VDP.Erste Lage (the german Premier Cru – class). This very sheltered southern exposure of the mountain ripens long into late autumn. In its youth, an interplay of delicately smoky spice, floral notes and salted caramel dominates, with air flavours of ripe strawberries. Well-balanced on the palate, a fruity melting sensation surrounds the stony-fresh and dense core. A high-quality wine that inspires with its openness and drinking pleasure even when young.
