DESCRIPTION
This Chardonnay En Barberon today offers a particularly intense and balanced profile between smoky and spicy minerality, floral voluptuousness, generosity of finely buttered white fruits and candied citrus fruits with spices. Flint, roasted hazelnut, yellow lemon and mandarin, bergamot, pear, nectarine roasted in butter, jasmine and honeysuckle, a delicately aniseed touch on chervil and elaeagnus flower, a brioche note, another more earthy one evoking a freshly turned undergrowth soil and fresh mushrooms… the bouquet is already very expressive, provided of course that the wine is given time to air.
The palate is both smooth on the attack, with fat, then nervous, perfectly taut and energized by an impeccable saline and tangy frame, with lemony accents. We finish in a firm and fresh register, always very tasty, which shows us that this "En Barberon" has a great future ahead of it.
