DESCRIPTION
Since 1626, the Trimbach family have been a reference point for fine Alsace wine — and if you ask, they will proudly tell you they are Alsatian first, French second. Their wines are sought out by collectors and enthusiasts. Winemaking is currently managed by 13th-generation Julien, who has spent years working alongside his uncle Pierre (who had been winemaker at the estate since 1979. Brand in Turckheim is one of the most reputed Grand Cru of Alsace. It is established on 58ha and has south/south-eastern exposures.
Grand Cru Brand Riesling's nose is precise and reveals scents of exotic fruits. The
palate is full but remains structured by a beautiful freshness which reveals a bright
saline sensation. Aromas of citrus fruits and aromatic herbs, notably lemongrass,
emerge subtly and gradually, culminating in superb length.
