DESCRIPTION
Fabien Duveau, who proudly jokes that he "was born on a barrel," represents the eighth generation of his family to cultivate vineyards in Saumur-Champigny in the Loire Valley.
After gaining experience in Saint-Émilion, Bergerac, and Napa, he returned home in 2008 to take over the estate and began reshaping its direction.Since taking over, Fabien has fully converted the estate to organic viticulture.
Vinified with native yeasts in concrete tank, Duveau's entrée into the Saumur-Champigny range is a gorgeous, fresh, juicy wine that brings the drinker back, glass after glass. The wine captures the classic aromatic quality of cabernet franc and really over-delivers for the price point. Suggested pairings include roast lamb, miso chicken, porcini mushroom risotto.
